Sameera Reddy in Musafir is in news because of some very physical scene with the Mahesh Manjrekar. This is also happened with the Tanushree Dutta in Aashiq Banaya Aapne
Sameera Reddy who belong to a Telugu blood never have imagined such a great career in Bollywood in her childhood when she was a chubby girl with glasses on eyes and cuteness no near in life. Sameera herself describes her as the “ugly duckling in the family” against her two sisters Meghna Reddy and Sushma Reddy, both well defined names in entertainment industry and on top of that her tomboy look was an extra spot. But the way the girl groomed in her first screen appearance for Pankaj Udhas’s ghazal video “Aur Aahista” was the most beautiful miracle for her career. Not only was that but Sameera Reddy in Musafir was also a 360 degree turn of her look.
Sameera Reddy in Musafir played the character of Sam, married to Looka played by Mahesh Manjrekar. Musafir being Sameera’s third Bollywood movie after “Maine Dil Tujhko Diya”, “Darna Manna Hai” and “Plan” she was well educated about expressions and acting which was very well framed by Sanjay Gupta, the director of Musafir (2004). From the critics point of view Sameera Reddy scored good points owing to the swift of role she did for the movie. From a typical Indian avatar Sameera jumped to the bold and sexy look which though was not appreciated that much. Sameera Reddy in Musafir gave the best dance number of her career “Ishq Kabhi Kariyo Na”, and she being a trained Kathak dancer it was no big deal to her.
Apart from the role of Samira Reddy in Musafir, she also did various versatile roles for her movies Race, De Dana Dan, One Two Three and also for her upcoming movie Don 2: The Chase Continues. Sameera has also done movies in other languages like Tamil, Malayalam, Bengali and Telugu and was appreciated equally there.
